Quite excited to introduce the new feature added to Salvo: AI Opponents! It was a eureka moment. As we continue to improve the built-in computer opponent for the game, different variables were generated. As we tweak the value of the variables, the AI behavior changes. A bulb suddenly lit above my head. Why not save the different variable settings and save it as a character card. We can then load these cards to the game and have different opponents. I thought this will add flavor to the game. After a few days, we finally managed to compile a working prototype. In the free-to-play version, we included 3 pre-generated AI opponents. For the full version of the game, we will add more AI opponents, each with different style of strategy. We will also add a UI so you can design your own AI opponents. You can save the AI opponent you design into an image file that you can swap with your friends. This will basically give you almost infinite number of AI opponents to face. We are also thinking of making an AI vs AI mode and have your AI go against each other and watch who has the best AI.
